In my drawings and embroideries, I am searching for a place to be. How do I relate to my surroundings? How is the relationship between me and the surrounding world? Is there harmony or conflict? How do you find a certain balance? A balance between emotions and intellect, between personal and wordly concerns? With my everyday drawings I am looking for this balance. It is about identity, a changing identity, where certain themes come back over and over again. Colour and craft play an important role in my work.
