When we pause to accept boredom’s invitation, it engulfs us. It creates a confrontation of the self in moments of ‘emptiness’, daring you to engage in all its uncertain possibilities. The mouth is used as a performative tool to play with boredom to cross the invisible (boundaries) between artist and audience, control and a loss of it. A silent conversation lingers between the teeth, scratches at the throat, provokes the tongue and rests gently upon the lips. Yet no words are spoken.

An audience are invited to an imaginary Tea party, where the objects are made entirely out of chocolate. Tension unfolds as boiling water is introduced to the now melting objects. This work plays with repetition, systematic behaviour and ephemeral materials to question the borders between delusion and reality within the human condition.

A behaviour analysis experience of habits and relationships towards food. Ritualizing the mundane act of eating locates the mouth as a bridge between the inner and outer.
