The massive dome of the Yumenoshima Tropical Greenhouse serves as the stage for a spatial installation composed of works centered on smell and sound. In a nocturnal forest, scent, wind, sound, and movement intersect, giving rise to “air as an expansive sculptural presence.” For plants and animals, scent functions as a signal, a form of data, and a source of information that connects them to the world. The night forest awakens your olfactory intelligence, makes you aware of the circulation of air, and invites reflection on symbiotic relationships. Explore like nocturnal creatures such as moths and bats, using your senses of smell and hearing.

Tranquility Machine by studio pointer is a meditation device from the future, - an interface between the forces of nature and human mind. It is a pop-up temple in which visitors are invited to join a weather-controlled sonic meditation practice. At the center of Tranquility Machine spins a hanging mobile, which reflects and pushes rays of directional sound around the space, creating a nearly tangible, ASMR-like sonic experience. All parts of this mechanism, including mobile's rotation speed and pace, are controlled by local weather data in real-time. commissioned by Floriade 2022
