Eugène van Veldhoven: "I am a textile- and surface designer for the interior industry. I am specialised in pattern, print techniques and surface treatments. My designs offer a combination of materials, patterns/textures and special techniques. I am constantly at work, designing all sorts of motifs and patterns that can be applied in interiors - both residential and contract (offices, hotels, restaurants etc.). The scale of my motifs ranges from small to mega. Mostly my patterns are applied in curtain, carpet, (woven) wallcovering and furniture fabrics. Incidemtally I also work with ceramics and automotive industry. I work with many different techniques; coatings, printing with effect pigments, laminating, , flock print, reflective print, UV or heat reactive pigments, laser cutting and engraving, ultrasonic quilting, needlepunching, shrink effects, burnout effects, transfer printing and several 3D-printing techniques. Since a few years I also design digital (photographical) prints and designs for jacquard weaving. Together with artist/designer Annika Syrjämäki, also from Den Haag, I started a second studio, 'Maison du Flock', that prints short runs for the haute couture houses. First clients were Maison Margiela and Schiaparelli."
