WHENCE, TO WHERE 2020-2022, Ahvaz, Iran 300 * 300 * 400 cm 430 Kg “WHENCE, TO WHERE” is an installation built from rusty pipes and joints sourced from recycling yards—the very conduits that once carried water through Ahvaz’s supply network. Mineral‑laden water has clogged these pipes, blocking flow and reducing pressure.

In 2017, I began traveling alongside Karun. Moving from the northern head spring towards the south of the river, I observed how the water lost its transparency and freshness due to increasing human-caused contamination along the way.
