"Second Breath" is a performance piece that delves into the physicality of sound as it emerges from the human body through breathing. If we sing, we fill our lungs with air. The air flows out and by shaping different parts of our body we create certain sounds. Temporal voices, temporal breath and lungs with limits. The performers wear an instrument that shapes around their chest as an extension of their lungs. A wearable lung to capture breath and hold it as a resonating space for sound. An extension of their body creating new ways of interacting with their breath. They explore the challenges of holding onto breath, hearing, being heard and the loss of voice into space. Performers: Lisa Frederiks, Tara Pasveer, Charlotte Roschka, Wouter Mol, Julien Gouweleeuw, Myra-Ida van der Veen / Special thanks to: Lux Nautilus/Saskia de vries, Niels Dielen, Coralie Vogelaar, Shots by: Lennard van der Valk and ira grünberger

A video collage of all inneruu performances in 2022. About inneruu: We work at the intersections between the band culture, visual installations, experimental instruments and choral singing. With fog, northern lights and sound we try to transform unique spaces into a place of childlike wonders. For example, we work with qr codes that the audience can scan which then form a basis for 1 of our songs and we have luminous wine glasses that they can play for our song "human.

‘spijker regen’ is an acoustic electronic instrument with various shapes. One version is a small box which can be played by plucking and bowing the nails, and enables soft touch interaction with 12 larger nails to function as a MIDI controller. Additionally, I've designed an interactive installation where the audience can create sound by plucking the nails or manipulating shadow patterns with a flashlight. The installation incorporates light sensors positioned amidst the nails, enabling the audience to generate sound by moving a flashlight.

When too much becomes nothing... ZAAL3/Het Nationaal Theater The Hague, Netherlands a3201228.myportfolio.com/when-too-much-becomes-nothing When too much becomes nothing and nothing becomes too much is constructed around a paradoxical notion of the musical term - decrescendo. Decrescend is diminishing intensity; decrescen is moving energy; decresce is the deconstruction of chaos into a moment of temporality; decresc is the collective straining into a new pattern. The nature of decres is double-faced and does not exist in emptiness. All decreis dynamic, and in context to the other. We hear, see and perceive decrbecause something happened before. Throughout dec we are opening up space for exploring previously unseen and unheard happenings. Reducing dethen to a simple moment in time, that coincidentally happens to exist on stage. D is crescendo.
