My work is based upon a fantasy world, where magical things happen. A snapshot of a different world captured in a painting. Currently I am working with miniature paintings. Because, I feel that the more detail I put in the closer you will get to this world. So I try to perfect the details and put as much in as I can. But I don’t like to fill the entire surface of the painting. I will leave some space free so the your imagination can run free there. The work comes from the inner need to create this other world and tell a story with it. The story captures you and puts you in this world for a moment. But, the story will release you again and you will realise that it is just a story, even though just for a second you were really there. I work in series to make this story expand and have more depth and information. The themes that often appear in this fantasy world are nature, aesthetics and the infinity of places.
