golden conversations
In my work I always use different materials, which ones depend on the subject of the work. The most recent works are a series of paintings made on handmade paper with mixed media [coffee, acrylic,ink, biblepages]. A beautiful golden color gives them a wonderful light with the opposite of coffee and east indian ink for the dark colors. The name of the series is 'the Word', and they are all in different sizes, diptychs, triptychs, or series of small ones with the size of 20x20cm. Someone called these works one day 'golden conversations' and I love that comment on my work. Because I love to make works who 'talk' to and with people and make them think about their own [dis]belief.
